AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/FK-P/5.

Franklin Piston Engines

AD/FK-P/5 Engine/Propeller Oil Transfer
Plug - Replacement
8/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1973 against Franklin Service Bulletin (SB)
No. 117 required rework or replacement of the engine propeller oil transfer plug P/No. 1973 to prevent interference with McCauley constant speed propeller hubs.

Compliance was at next propeller removal or at next engine reconditioning, whichever occurs first.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
