AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/FK-P/4.

P/No 18708 - Inspection 8/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1972 against Franklin Service Bulletin (SB)
No. 112 required inspection for loosening of starter gear/torsional damper assembly P/No. 18708 and subsequent replacement with newly design assembly P/No. 21027.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 31 August 1972 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
