AD/FA-200/24 Elevator Torque Tube Corrosion Cancelled (Cth)

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/FA-200/24.

AD/FA-200/24 Elevator Torque Tube Corrosion 7/2009

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1989 against Fuji Heavy Industries Service Bulletin (SB) No.
200-009, required the establishment of a standard inspection and repair procedure for internal corrosion of elevator torque tube.  Compliance was required at the next scheduled inspection for issue of maintenance release after 2 November 1989 whichever occurs later, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 5 years.

As the SB provided manufacturer’s instructions on how the elevator torque tube shall be inspected and repaired, this AD is no longer required.
