AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/F27/66.

Fokker F27 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F27/66 Engine Breather RIP
Overheat Detectors - Modification
11/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 22 October 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1967 against Fokker Service Bulletin (SB) Q-10 required modification by replacement of overheat warning device in engine breather outlet.

Compliance not stated.  Manufacturer recommended priority to engines without Dart Mod. 1196 (increased capacity rear compressor bearing).

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft component to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
