On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/F27/56 Amdt 1.

Fokker F27 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F27/56 Amdt 1 Rudder Trim Tab - Inspection 12/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 19 November 2009.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1965, and again in 1985, against Fokker Service Bulletin (SB) No. B-165.  It required repetitive x-ray inspections of the structure under the rudder trim tab control bracket until modified.  SB B-169, published in 1965, provided terminating action for the repetitive inspections required by this AD.  It introduced a machined rudder trim tab control bracket and attachment.

As affected aircraft will have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
