AD/F2000/9 Engine Fuel System (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F2000/9 Engine Fuel System 4/2006

Applicability:

Falcon 2000 aircraft which have not been modified under DASSAULT AVIATION Service Bulletin (SB) F2000-202 (modification of injectors of both engines in accordance with CFE Company Service Bulletin CFE738 F2000-2578).

Requirement:

1.    Add self-adhesive labels limiting use of fuel in compliance with SB F2000-080.

2.    Incorporate TC No. 34 supplement to the Falcon 2000 Flight Manual into the Aeroplane Flight Manual, and comply with its instructions.

Embodiment of SB F2000-202 cancels the requirements of requirement 1 and 2 of this AD.

Note:  DGAC AD 1996-290-001(B)R1 refers.

Compliance:

Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD unless previously accomplished.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 13 April 2006.

Background:

This AD is issued in order to minimize the risks of flame-out of CFE 738-1-IS engines installed on Falcon 2000 in case of use of JP4, JET B and EMS 53113 fuel types.
