AD/F2000/7 Engine Nacelle Fail-Safe Fasteners (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F2000/7 Engine Nacelle Fail-Safe Fasteners 3/2006

Applicability:

Model 2000 aircraft, with serial numbers up to and including 212, except serial number 208; and aircraft with Dassault Service Bulletin F2000-301 or DGAC AD
F-2004-126 implemented.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with DGAC AD F-2005-018.

Note:  Dassault Service Bulletin F2000-301 refers.

Compliance:

As specified in the Requirement document, with a revised effective date of
16 March 2006.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 16 March 2006.

Background:

The inner pin of a double fail-safe fastener that ensures a link between the rear of the engine and the fuselage was missing on an in-service aircraft.  Investigation revealed the inner pin was not installed during production, due to an anomaly in production procedures.
