Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F2000/20 Landing Gear Components 10/2006

Applicability:

Falcon 2000 aircraft, serial numbers 223 and 224.

Falcon 2000EX aircraft, serial numbers 63 through 72.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with EASA AD 2006-0113.

Note:  Dassault Aviation Service Bulletins F2000-339 original issue, and
F2000EX-106 original issue, or later EASA approved revision, refer.

Compliance:

As specified in the Requirement document, with a revised effective date of
28 September 2006.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 28 September 2006.

Background:

A batch of landing gear structural components has been reported to have inadequate corrosion protection.  Corrosion could occur before the scheduled inspection time, as recommended and defined in the aircraft maintenance manuals.  Such corrosion, unless detected and corrected, could compromise the structural integrity of the landing gear, and lead to landing gear collapse and loss of control of the aircraft.
