AD/F2000/17 Fuel Line Cracking (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000 Series Aeroplanes

AD/F2000/17 Fuel Line Cracking 8/2006

Applicability:

Dassault Falcon 2000 aeroplanes serial number 2 through 49 inclusive and serial number 51.

Requirement:

Incorporate Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F 2000-123.

Note:  DGAC AD 98-020-005(b) refers.

Compliance:

Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD unless previously accomplished.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 3 August 2006.

Background:

There have been instances of cracking occurring in the fuel line attached to the fuel pump at the pressure switch pick up point.  This AD requires the installation of a bracket to reduce the vibrations felt by the fuel line and the subsequent cracking that results.
