AD/F100/80 Anti-Collision and Strobe Lights (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Fokker F100 (F28 Mk 100) Series Aeroplanes

AD/F100/80 Anti-Collision and Strobe Lights 9/2006

Applicability:	F28 Mark 0100 aeroplanes with serial numbers listed in Fokker Service Bulletin SBF100-33-016 Revision 4 dated 1 February 2005.
Requirement:	If not previously accomplished, modify the anti-collision light together with the wing and tail strobe lights in accordance with SBF100-33-016 Revision 4, or later EASA approved revision.
No further action is necessary on aeroplanes modified before the effective date of this Directive in accordance with earlier versions of SBF100-33-016.
Note:  CAA-NL AD NL-2006-007 (EASA approval 2006-0192) refers.
Compliance:	No later than 31 December 2007.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 31 August 2006.
Background:	CAA-NL AD NL-2006-007 supersedes and cancels RLD AD 1994-123/3 dated 14 March 1997 for which no equivalent Australian AD was issued.
This Directive requires the modification of the anti-collision light together with the wing and tail strobe lights on certain serial number aeroplanes to meet the certification requirements of United States Federal Aviation Regulation and European Joint Aviation Requirement §§ 25.1401 (a) (1) and 25.1401 (f).
