AD/ENST 28/8 Fuselage Structure Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ENST 28/8.

AD/ENST 28/8 Fuselage Structure - Inspection 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1973, required an inspection of the fuselage structure in the vicinity of the main rotor transmission assembly attachment following overseas reports of cracking.  Compliance was required within 50 hours TIS after 17 October 1975 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS.

As the inspection required by this AD is normal scheduled maintenance practice, and the AD has resulted in no reports of cracking in the mandatory defect reporting system, this AD is no longer required.
