AD/ENST 28/17 Wide Chord Tail Rotor Counterweights Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ENST 28/17.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1977 against Enstrom Service Directive Bulletin (SDB) No. 0042, required a modification to reconfigure tail rotor counterweights from 30 grams to 20 grams to eliminate high frequency resonance.  Compliance was required within 10 hours TIS after 19 October 1977.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
