De Havilland Piston Engines
| AD/DHE/24 | Minimum Modification Standard at Major Reconditioning | 6/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD raised in 1972 against Rolls Royce Gipsy Technical News Sheet (TNS) TNS G. No. 15 of 18 February 1970 and Appendix 2 dated 27 June 1963, applicable to Gipsy Six 1 and 1A, and Gipsy Six 11 series engines, required installation of manufacturers modifications in order to bring the modification status of these engines up to that suggested by the manufacturer. At the time, the Time Between Recondition (TBR) periods were conditional on the incorporation of modifications listed in the requirements document. Compliance was: Before installation in an aircraft following next reconditioning completed after 30 June 1972. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
