De Havilland Piston Engines

AD/DHE/1 Accessory Drive Shaft - Modification
to Provide Weak Neck
6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised prior to 1962 against DH Mod. G1018; or DH Mod. G1079; or ANO 106.1.7.0.1.1, applicable to Gipsy Six II and Gipsy Queen II engines, required a modification to provide a weak neck in the accessory drive shaft.

Compliance was:  Before installation in an aircraft.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
