| This AD commences on 3 November 2017. | |
Background: | Transport Canada Aviation advised that several incidents of battery temperature monitor failures have been reported, which caused heavy smoke in the flight compartment requiring emergency action to be taken by flight crew. This Directive requires the replacement of the monitors, averting the generation of smoke in the flight compartment. Amendment 1 of this AD is issued to reference the latest revision of the Canadian AD and to add DHC-8 model 315 aircraft to the applicability per the revised Canadian AD. |
