AD/DHC-6/44 Lower Wing Skin to Spar Rivets Inspection Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-6/44.
DHC-6 (Twin Otter) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/DHC-6/44 | Lower Wing Skin to Spar Rivets - Inspection | 12/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008. | |
Background: | This AD was raised in 1976 against De Havilland Canada Service Bulletin (SB) No. 6/351, requiring an inspection for corrosion of the rivets attaching the wing lower skins to the front spar between the landing lights and the engine nacelles. Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 January 1977. Given that normal maintenance practices and published maintenance inspection requirements would adequately address the requirements of the SB, this AD is no longer required. |
