AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-6/28.

DHC-6 (Twin Otter) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-6/28 Engine Compressor
Inlet Screens - Icing Restrictions
12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1971 against De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Service Bulletin (SB) No. 6/282, requiring aircraft equipped with PT6-20 and -27 engines and having fine hole compressor debris screens fitted, to have an 'icing limitations' placard installed in the cockpit indicating altitude/temperature restrictions when operating in visible moisture conditions.

Compliance was before 1 September 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have the placard installed by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
