AD/DHC-6/21 Amdt 1 Elevator Connecting Rod Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-6/21 Amdt 1.

AD/DHC-6/21 Amdt 1 Elevator Connecting Rod - Inspection 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1972 against De Havilland Canada Service Bulletin No. 6/238, requiring a one time special inspection to determine if an elevator connecting rod assembly incorporated a lower strength tube assembly.  Compliance was required within 25 hours TIS after 14 February 1972.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected by now, this AD is no longer required.
