AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-6/2.

DHC-6 (Twin Otter) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-6/2 Fuel System Crossfeed
Thermal Relief - Modification
12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1967 against De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Modification Bulletin (MB) 6/1032, requiring rework of the fuel system crossfeed check valves to prevent possible damage to engine, piping, seals etc., by providing thermal relief due to thermal expansion of the fuel.

Compliance was before 1 September 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
