AD/DHC-6/11 Flap Elevator Trim Cables Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-6/11.

AD/DHC-6/11 Flap Elevator Trim Cables - Modification 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1968 against De Havilland Canada Modification Bulletin
No. 6/1127, requiring a modification that introduces nylon covered control cables in the flap/elevator trim interconnect circuit to eliminate fraying experienced in service.  Compliance was required within 300 hours TIS after 21 March 1968.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
