AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-3/26.

DHC-3 (Otter) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-3/26 Tailplane Hinge Bolts 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1971 against De Havilland Canada Service Bulletin No. 3/14, requiring a special inspection following a report of a failure of special tailplane hinge bolt C3T23-5.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 30 June 1971 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 800 hours TIS.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected by now and no relevant defect has been recorded on the mandatory reporting system, this AD is no longer required.
