AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-3/17.

DHC-3 (Otter) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-3/17 Engine Cooling 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD required demonstration, by flight test or otherwise, that adequate engine cooling is provided.  If not, then a modification was required to the augmenter tubes and inter-cylinder baffles to ensure that the maximum permissible engine cylinder temperature would not be exceeded in-flight under Intercontinental Maximum Standard ambient temperature conditions.

Compliance was forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
