AD/DHC-3/17 Engine Cooling Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-3/17.
DHC-3 (Otter) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/DHC-3/17 | Engine Cooling | 12/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008. | |
Background: | This AD required demonstration, by flight test or otherwise, that adequate engine cooling is provided. If not, then a modification was required to the augmenter tubes and inter-cylinder baffles to ensure that the maximum permissible engine cylinder temperature would not be exceeded in-flight under Intercontinental Maximum Standard ambient temperature conditions. Compliance was forthwith. As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
