DHC-2 (Beaver) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-2/6 Safety Harness Inertia Reel - Installation 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1962, required a modification on aircraft engaged in agricultural operations by attaching the pilot's safety harness shoulder straps to the aircraft structure through an inertia reel.  It was found that pilots of normal stature had difficulty reaching some controls when wearing a properly adjusted safety harness.  Compliance was required forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
