AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-1/9.

AD/DHC-1/9 Rudder Torque Tube Flange - Inspection 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique AD was raised in 1957, requiring an inspection for cracks of the rudder torque tube, Part No. C1-TR-91, in the area of the shoulders on the semi-circular flange and the rivets securing the flange to the rudder torque tube.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 250 hours TIS.

As this AD is superseded by AD/DHC-1/38, referencing British Aerospace Mandatory Technical News Sheet (TNS) CT(C1) No. 200 and applicable UK CAA AD 006-03-97, it is no longer required.
