De Havilland DHC-1 (Chipmunk) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-1/8 Fairey-Reed Propeller - Spinner Removal 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1955, requiring the removal of the spinner nose and body assemblies from all aircraft models fitted with Fairey-Reed fixed pitch propeller type A66753/X1 and spinners type 66870 Marks 2 and 3.  The AD was developed on the requirements contained in De Havilland Technical News Sheet (TNS) No. 71.

Compliance was forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
