AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHC-1/7.

De Havilland DHC-1 (Chipmunk) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-1/7 Tailplane Attachment Lugs
and Bulkhead - Inspection
11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique AD was raised in 1953 against De Havilland TNS CT(C1) Nos. 38 and 71, or De Havilland (Canada) TNS, Series "C", No.33; or ANO 105.1.14.15.6.2.  The documents required a special inspection of the rear fuselage bulkhead stiffeners after reports of cracking.  Compliance was required at each daily inspection.

As all affected aircraft would have been repaired by now, this AD is no longer required.
