De Havilland DHC-1 (Chipmunk) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHC-1/5 Amdt 2 Fuel System - Modification 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique AD was originally raised in 1963 against Department of Aviation (DCA) drawing No. VH.102, DCA drawing No. HH 3627, De Havilland modification No's H207, H210, H212, H165 and H199, Airworthiness Directive (AD) DCA/DH-1/5 and Air Navigation Order (ANO) 105.1.14.15.5.5 issue 2, requiring fuel system modifications following a number of cases of asymmetrical fuel consumption and two instances of forced landing.

Compliance was at next major inspection or before 1 December 1972.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
