AD/DHC-1/14 Flap Hinge Arms - Inspection and Modification 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1962, required an inspection for internal corrosion of the flap centre hinge arms, removal of corrosion or replacement of hinge arm, and cleaning followed by application of a protective coating.  A modification was also required by drilling of a drain hole in the lower surface of the hinge arm.  The modification was required forthwith, with regular inspection at intervals not exceeding 12 months.

As no defects applicable to this AD have been recorded on the mandatory reporting system, and routine maintenance requirements cover inspection of the flap hinges, this AD is no longer required.
