AD/DHA-3/5 Windscreen Wiper Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHA-3/5.

AD/DHA-3/5 Windscreen Wiper - Modification 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1952 requiring modification to vacuum operated windscreen wiper DH Part No. S3-533A, by providing a minimum blade pressure of 28 ounces and a minimum operating rate of 200 strokes per minute, or replacing the installation with an approved electrical operated type, or as required by De Havilland Aircraft Pty Ltd. Technical News Sheet (TNS) CT(A3) No. 46.

Compliance was forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
