AD/DHA-3/4 Fuel Tank Vent Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHA-3/4.

AD/DHA-3/4 Fuel Tank Vent - Modification 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1952 against De Havilland Aircraft Pty Ltd. Technical News Sheet (TNS) CT(A3) No. 48, requiring modification DH. DRO.37 to be carried out that introduced a new filter cap for the fuel tank vents which had an increased mesh area as a precaution against the vent becoming blocked with mud etc.

Compliance was forthwith.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
