AD/DHA-3/24 Amdt 1 Tailplane Spar and Elevator Hinge Stiffener Bracket Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHA-3/24 Amdt 1.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1971 against De Havilland TNS CT(A3) No. 125, requiring an inspection for cracking of the outboard end of the tailplane and the elevator hinge stiffener.  DH modification DRO.120 was raised to cover the repair of the tailplane spar.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 500 hours TIS.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
