AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DHA-3/20.

DHA-3 (Drover) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DHA-3/20 Wing Rib No. 5 - Inspection 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1958 against De Havilland TNS CT(A3) No. 109, requiring an inspection of wing ribs located behind the engine mount attachment brackets for cracks which might exist in the flanges attached to the front spar.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 12 months.

Given the extended period that this AD has been published, with no defects reported in the mandatory reporting system, and that any cracking would have been repaired/reinforced by now, this AD is no longer required.
