AD/DH 104/8 Amdt 1 Fin Attachment Brackets Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DH 104/8 Amdt 1.

AD/DH 104/8 Amdt 1 Fin Attachment Brackets - Inspection 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1973 against Hawker Siddeley Technical News Sheet (TNS) CT(104) No. 112 amendment 4, requiring an inspection for cracks of the fin front attachment brackets on bulkhead 6 at intervals of 300 hours TIS and 2,400 hours TIS.

This inspection is part of normal maintenance requirements, so the use of an AD to mandate the requirement is not justified.  Hence this AD is no longer required.
