AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DH 104/20.

DH 104 (Dove) Series Aeroplanes

AD/DH 104/20 Landing Gear Actuator Pistons - Inspections and Replacement 12/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 20 November 2008.

Background:

This AD was issued in 1966, and was amended in 1971.  The AD required an inspection/replacement/modification of the landing gear pneumatic jack pistons which were prone to cracking.

The AD required that the pistons be replace whenever cracks were detected, or at intervals not exceeding 10,000 landings.  Incorporation of Dove Modification
No. 1144 cancelled these requirements.

As there are no recorded defects of this nature in the mandatory reporting system, and the likelihood that all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
