AD/Dauphin/70 Amdt 1 Sliding Doors (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/DAUPHIN/70 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (Dauphin) Series Helicopters

Applicability: | Model SA 365 C, C1, C2, and C3 helicopters equipped with left hand and right hand sliding doors. |
Requirement: | 1. Check the upper rail of the left hand and right hand sliding doors in accordance with paragraph 2.B.1.of Eurocopter SA 365 C Alert Service Bulletin No. 52.08. 2. Check the upper fitting of the left hand and right hand sliding doors in accordance with paragraph 2.B.2. of Eurocopter SA 365 C Alert Service Bulletin No. 52.08. Note: DGAC AD F-2004-052 R1 refers. |
Compliance: | 1. After the last flight of the next flying day after 21 April 2004. 2. Within 50 flight hours after 21 April 2004, unless already accomplished. The compliance times remain unchanged by this issue. |

Background: | The DGAC requires certain actions in response to the in-flight loss of a sliding door. Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related DGAC AD, which converts the Alert Telex Requirement document into an Alert Service Bulletin with the same reference number and no change to technical content. The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 21 April 2004. |
