Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (Dauphin) Series Helicopters
| AD/DAUPHIN/62 Amdt 1 | Wheel Brake Hose | 1/2006 |
Applicability: | SA 365 N and N1 model helicopters and AS 365 N2 and N3 helicopters equipped with emergency floatation gear and not incorporating Mod 0745C49. |
Requirement: | 1. Carry out a check of the hydraulic brake hose in accordance with paragraph 2.B.1. of Eurocopter AS 365 Alert Service Bulletin 32.00.09 Revision 1 or later DGAC approved revisions. 2. Carry out a non- interference check as detailed in paragraph 2.B.2. of Eurocopter AS 365 Alert Service Bulletin 32.00.09 Revision 1 or later DGAC approved revisions. (b) Whenever the landing gear leg is adjusted. |
| This Amendment becomes effective on 19 January 2006. | |
Background: | In certain configurations, landing gear retraction can cause the brake hose to be compressed between the torque link and the emergency flotation gear pipe. This Directive requires a check for the correct installation of the hoses to prevent failure of the brake hose. This amendment excludes those helicopters that have incorporated Mod 0745C49. |
| The original issue of this AD became effective on 23 January 2003. |
