Pacific Aerospace Corporation Cresco Series Aeroplanes

AD/CRESCO/5 Amdt 1 Aileron Control Cables 3/2010

Applicability:

All Cresco 08-600 series aircraft.

Requirement:

Accomplish the inspections detailed in Pacific Aerospace Corporation (PAC) Service Bulletin SB/CR/033.

Note:  NZ CAA AD DCA/CRESCO/6B refers.

Compliance:

Within 100 hours time in service after 28 February 2010, unless already accomplished within the last 600 hours time in service, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 600 hours time in service.

This Amendment becomes effective on 28 February 2010.

Background:

Cables have been detected in service with significant fraying at the location of the wing inboard rib fairlead.  This is an area not readily accessed during routine inspection.

Amendment 1 is issued in response to the latest amendment of the related NZ CAA AD, which reduces the inspection interval from 1,000 hours time in service to 600 hours time in service.
