Applicability:

Model CL-600-2B19 aircraft, serial numbers 7003 through 7869.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with the Requirements of Transport Canada AD CF-2001-15R1.

Note:  Incorporation of the modification in accordance with Bombardier Service Bulletin 601R-57-037 Revision B, or later Transport Canada approved revision, constitutes terminating action to the inspection requirements of this Directive.

Compliance:

As specified in the Requirement document, with a revised effective date of
30 August 2007.

This Amendment becomes effective on 30 August 2007.

Background:

Cracks on the left and right hand sides of the lower wing plank at wing station 148 have been discovered on a number of in-service aircraft.  Failure of the lower wing plank would compromise the structural integrity of the wing.

Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related Transport Canada AD, which introduces a terminating modification to the AD repetitive inspection requirements.
