AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CL-600/17.

Bombardier (Canadair) CL-600 (Challenger) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CL-600/17 Flight Controls - Elevator Cable Inspection 11/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 22 October 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1988 against Canadair Service Bulletin (SB)
No. 600-0522 required a one-time inspection for fouling between the wiring harness leading to the autopilot pitch servo and the elevator control cables.

Compliance was:  Within 100 hours TIS after 3 November 1988, or prior to the issue of a Certificate of Airworthiness.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated over an extended period for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
