Bombardier (Canadair) CL-600 (Challenger) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CL-600/10 Autopilot Duplex Servo - Installation
of Protective Cover
11/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 22 October 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1983 against Canadair Challenger Service Bulletin (SB) No. 600-0171 required a modification recommended by the manufacturer to introduce a protective cover to prevent the possibility of foreign objects jamming the autopilot duplex servo capstan.

Compliance was:  Before issue of an Australian Certificate of Airworthiness.

This AD was applicable to CL-600-1A11 aircraft S/No.1005 to1008 and 1010 to 1075.  All other CL-600-1A11 aircraft were scheduled for modification in production.  It is considered that this AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is no longer required.
