AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CHA/6.

American Champion (Aeronca, Bellanca) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CHA/6 Throttle Arm and Knob 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1972, required modification of the throttle arm in accordance with Champion Service Letter No.94 to prevent separation of the throttle arm at the threaded portion.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 31 March 1972.  As all aircraft would have been modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
