AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CF6/10 Amdt 1.

General Electric Turbine Engines - CF6 Series

AD/CF6/10 Amdt 1 Fuel Manifold 8/2006

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 August 2006.

Background:

The original issue of this AD specified inspection and replacement of the subject manifolds.

Amendment 1 specified the FAA Telegraphic Emergency Airworthiness Directive T89-03-52 as the basis for this AD in lieu of the GE Alert Service Bulletin 73-038 which formed the original basis.  The FAA then deleted the inspection requirement and introduced a new cyclic life limit of 1700 cycles.

The FAA issued AD 90-26-01 which superseded the requirements of FAA AD
89-03-52 referred to in this AD.  Therefore the requirements to replace fuel manifolds as detailed in this AD have been superseded by those detailed in AD/CF6/16.
