AD/CESSNA 560/9 Minimum Airspeed Placards 1/2008 DM

Applicability:

Model 560 aircraft, serial numbers 560-0001 through 560-0538.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 2007-23-13 Amdt 39-15259.

Compliance:

As specified in the Requirement document.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 21 November 2007.

Background:

FAA AD 2007-23-13 results from an evaluation of in-service aircraft following an accident.  The evaluation indicated that some aircraft may have an improperly adjusted stall warning system.  The requirements of this Directive are intended to prevent an inadvertent stall due to the inadequate stall warning margin provided by an improperly adjusted stall warning system, which could result in loss of controllability of the aircraft.
