AD/Cessna 550/16 Amdt 1 Fuel Flow Transmitter (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CESSNA 550/16 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: | All Citation 550/551 aircraft S/No’s 0002 to 0207 and 0209. |
Requirement: | Replace fuel flow transmitters in accordance with Cessna Service Bulletin (SB) Note 1: SB 550-73-2, or later approved revision, refers. Note 2: FAA AD 89-16-10 refers. |
Compliance: | If not already accomplished, within 100 hours time in service after the effective date of this Directive. |

Background: | The fuel flow transmitter may have an electrical connector manufactured from two pieces which may separate causing a fuel leak. This Amendment updates the revision status of the requirement SB and inserts a note referring to the applicable State of design Directive. |
