Cessna 500 (Citation) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 500/7 Landing Gear Unlock Actuator
and Control System
10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1974 against Cessna Citation Service Bulletin (SB) No. SB32-17, required a modification to prevent transmission of hydraulic pressure impulses through the landing gear uplock actuators and to prevent electrical shorting of the landing gear control system which could result in unlocking one or more gear actuators on the ground.

Compliance was within 50 hours TIS after 14 June 1974, or before 31 July 1974 whichever occurs first.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
