Ad/Cessna 500/3 - Elevator Torque Tube Assembly - Inspection and Replacement - Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 500/3.
Cessna 500 (Citation) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/CESSNA 500/3 | Elevator Torque Tube Assembly - Inspection and Replacement | 10/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in 1974 against Cessna Citation Service Bulletin (SB) No. SB 55-2, required a one time inspection, and possible replacement, of elevator torque tube assembly to ensure sufficient thickness of the elevator torque tube end cap. Compliance was required before issue of a certificate of airworthiness. As all affected aircraft would have been inspected by now, this AD is no longer required. |
