AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 500/3.

Cessna 500 (Citation) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 500/3 Elevator Torque Tube
Assembly - Inspection and Replacement
10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1974 against Cessna Citation Service Bulletin (SB) No. SB 55-2, required a one time inspection, and possible replacement, of elevator torque tube assembly to ensure sufficient thickness of the elevator torque tube end cap.  Compliance was required before issue of a certificate of airworthiness.  As all affected aircraft would have been inspected by now, this AD is no longer required.
