Ad/Cessna 500/11 - Aft Facing Seat - Inspection - Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 500/11.

AD/CESSNA 500/11 Aft Facing Seat - Inspection 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1975 against Cessna Citation Alert Service Bulletin (SB) No. SBA 25-16, required an inspection of aft facing seat back stop alignment, and placarding of seats that do not meet alignment criteria until corrected by modification.  The modification criterion was contained in Cessna Citation Service Bulletin (SB) No. SB 25-16 dated 26 February 1975.

Compliance was within 25 hours TIS after 25 February 1975.  As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
