AD/CESSNA 400/60 Amdt 1 Main Landing Gear Trunnion - Inspection 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1980, required inspection of the main landing gear trunnion in accordance with Cessna Service Letter ME79-11.  The AD compliance was from 300 hours time in service and then every 50 hours until the trunnion was replaced with an improved version.  The Service Difficulty Reporting system revealed 3 cracked trunnions from 1984 to 1992 and no other defects have been reported since.  As the AD is no longer detecting defects, it is no longer required.
