Ad/Cessna 400/60 Amdt 1 - Main Landing Gear Trunnion - Inspection - Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 400/60 Amdt 1.

AD/CESSNA 400/60 Amdt 1 Main Landing Gear Trunnion - Inspection 10/2008

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1980, required inspection of the main landing gear trunnion in accordance with Cessna Service Letter ME79-11.  The AD compliance was from 300 hours time in service and then every 50 hours until the trunnion was replaced with an improved version.  The Service Difficulty Reporting system revealed 3 cracked trunnions from 1984 to 1992 and no other defects have been reported since.  As the AD is no longer detecting defects, it is no longer required.
