AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 400/57 Amdt 2.

Cessna 400 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 400/57 Amdt 2 Elevator Trim Tab Actuator
Mounting Bracket - Inspection
10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally issued in 1978, required a one-off inspection of the elevator trim tab actuator in accordance with Cessna Service Letter ME78-22 to ensure the trim tab actuator is properly aligned with the elevator trim tab horn.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 30 September 1978.  An amendment to the AD was raised in error some time later and was returned to the requirements of the original issue in 2004.  As all aircraft would have now been inspected, the AD is no longer required.
