AD/Cessna 400/25 Elevator Torque Tube Fitting Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 400/25.

AD/CESSNA 400/25 Elevator Torque Tube Fitting - Inspection 9/2008

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 28 August 2008.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1971, required inspection of the elevator torque tube fittings for cracks and, if no cracks were found, re-torque the taper pin nut in accordance with Cessna Service Letter ME 71-8.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 30 June 1971.  As all aircraft would have now been inspected and re-torqued, the AD is no longer required.
